How many movies can 8GB hold? In this day and age 8GB is not a lot of space, especially if you are trying to save movies to it. While 8GB is super small IMO, you can still store a couple of flicks on it, depending on the size.

As stated above, 8GB is not a lot of space, but nonetheless, you can squeeze some movies into that amount of storage space.
Before I get into the meat of the matter, I should let you know that the numbers used below are based off real world averages.

To give you an idea as to the storage capacity of 8GB of data, we will use the general
- SD Movie from iTunes = 1.5GB (Average Size)
- 720p Movie from iTunes = 4GB (Average Size)
- 1080p Movie from iTunes = 5GB (Average Size)
- DVD Rip (Pirated) = 700MB (Average Size)*
- Blue Ray Rip 720p (Pirated) = 1GB (Average Size)*
- Blue Ray Rip 1080p (Pirated) = 3.5GB (Average Size)*
