If you are looking for a Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam memory card, then you are definitely in the right place.
No need to be scouring the internet and spending hours trying to find the right card for the camera and also making sure that it is compatible with it.
Best Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam MicroSD Cards
I am pretty sure if you started searching for memory cards that can be used in your Kidizoom Action Cam, you are going to see hundreds of options, so how do you know which one is the best one to get?
Take a look at the 3 best card currently available for this kid’s camera. All the cards on thi
s list are ranked on their price, performance and compatibility with the device.
This option is one of the best available for the Vtech Kidizoom. It is really cheap, delivers the storage space that you are looking for and the card is also pretty fast. Can’t lose with this card, great addition for the camera.
The only reason why I did not put this up higher is that it is slightly more expensive (only a few dollars more). This is a solid card that will work and perform exceptionally well in this kids camera.
This is another solid 32GB MicroSD card which is very popular. People are drawn to it because of the performance that it offers. If you want a card that will work perfectly in the Kidizoom action cam, then this is one to consider.
If you are interested in other sizes you can check out 4GB, 8GB, 16GB & 32GB Micro SD cards (I discuss the advantages/disadvantages below)
What About Smaller Sized Cards?
Even though I only recommended 32GB MicroSD cards above, you could actually use smaller card sizes such as 16GB, 8GB & 4GB. If you have them lying around or they are a couple bucks cheaper, then you can use them with no problems. The only issue with these cards is that the storage space is considerably less and you might find that the kids will fill these cards up pretty quickly.
I always say buy the biggest available card, which is pretty cheap when you look at the price. You honestly do not want to go back a couple months later, knocking yourself for not just picking up the 32GB card when you had the chance to.
You should also be aware that if you are using smaller sized cards, their speed needs to be Class 6 or higher. In the documentation for the Kidizoom Action Cam, Vtech has indicated that the camera will only work with card speeds Class 6 or higher.
Older cards often can be found with lower speeds, so be careful.
What’s This MicroSD & MicroSDHC?
I know some of you are reading and might be confused with MicroSD and MicroSDHC cards and their compatibility with the Vtech Kidizoom.
To just give a brief overview, the difference between the two cards is how much data can be stored on them.
MicroSD – 512MB – 2GB
MicroSDHC – 4GB – 32GB
Why people interchange the names is that a lot of people refer to miniature memory cards as MicroSD, regardless if the storage capacity does not fall in line with the given numbers. So technically, any memory card over 4GB to 32GB is a MicroSDHC.

How Much Data Can the 32GB
The table below is there just to give you an idea of how much video the 32GB card can actually be stored on the Vtech Kidizoom Action Cam.
** Please note that this is based off real world numbers and not actual data from using the camera. Since the numbers are estimates you should be aware that the memory card could hold more or less data, this is just to give you a ballpark figure.
Card Sizes | 640×480 Video |
4GB | 43 min |
8GB | 1 hr 26 min |
16GB | 2 hr 52 min |
32GB | 5 hr 42 min |
I have the second card but doesn’t seem to fit in kidizoom without sticking out any ideas??
